EDIT – I’ve actually been informed that nailpolishes are terrible to use with the type of plastic that Pullip dolls are made from. I will eventually be re-making this tutorial, however the same proccess can be applied using the Pullip-safe materials of paint, glitter, and gloss. :)

The other day I finally got around to getting some white coolcat eyechips to do over Isolde’s eyes. Throughout the process I took photographs with the intent of making a tutorial of sorts, so here it is. I’ve made a few other pairs of eyechips using this method, as well, though they are not in use. This is just my method, so feel free to use it, however there is not much space for messing up, because if you do and have to remove the polish or paint, it will almost definitely damage the chip. So as fun as this process is, please only attempt it if you’re very comfortable, or don’t mind messing up a pair of chips! :)

I decided that I probably won’t sand Dotori’s face off and turn her into Motya at least until I can get everything together for her ‘re-inventing’. Because… it really is such a beautiful doll and I wouldn’t want to wreck her and have her be half-done, sitting around and haunting me like ‘finish meeee I’m incompleeeeteeee’. Also, the weather has not been the best for Mr.Superclear, and my ‘quarter’s have not been the best workspace lately..

Besides that I’ve become utterly enthralled with Young Justice. Impulse is just the cutest, and Superboy and Robin is totally… Shipable fff… I found a full set of the 9o’s comics that I want to buy.. until then I’ve been reading them in CDisplay however… it is an incomplete collection. It’s missing 3-9 and some random books between that, as well as most of the extras.. There’s only 25 out of the 55+extras original run :( It’s very sad.

I’ll probably be going to the local comic book store downtown Salem while I’m visiting and seeing if they might still have some of the older issues… Of course they’d probably be at way-too-high prices. But they might also have the new Young Justice comics, too… and I want to get them as well :I

Alright, enough about my ramblings… I’ve got a Pullip Eyechip Tutorial in my drafts right now that needs to be finished, so you can expect that soon!

Ah! This weekend I spent some time with my friend Caitlin, and went to Wellesley to visit some other awesome people 8) There was a drag show which started way late, and most of us left before it started. But other than that everything was really fun!

Went into Boston from Wellesley and Saw Suckerpunch. It was not the worlds greatest film, but it was good and I liked it! Definitely not deserving of all of the bashing that has been happening to it.

After that Caitlin and I headed across the way to the House of Blues. Ah.. We saw Eugene and I almost talked to Sergei, however another fan noticed him and held his attention first! Yuri also came outside a bit to smoke some butts, however since we were farther away at this point I was not so sure that it was him and instead stared quite awkwardly in his direction trying to distinguish if I was in fact seeing who I thought that I was seeing. It is kind of funny because I had originally planned to make something for the band.. However I figured ‘Oh but I probably will not see them at all’. Now that I know better, I will definitely bring along something for them next time. Because, they are SUCH an amazing band and show that I will definitely see them again!

The opening band ‘Forro in the Dark’ was also quite amazing! Though their sound is not something I usually would listen to, they looked like they were having such an amazing time with each other that it would be hard to not enjoy them! Their skills were admirable, and their seeming comradery was.. inspiring, to say the least!

Hmm.. aside from that, it is interesting I think.. that I told my friend Shane about the show, and he went as well! However I was searching for him beforehand to say hello, since we have not seen each other in so long! Much to my amusement, and amazement, we met in the pit during the first song! It was pretty… awesome. to say the least x)

Other than this I have ordered my business cards, the design of which can be found in my Tumblr. Soon I will be ordering prints. I have also designed a few more ideas for plushies. The first to come along shall be a deer. After that we may see some bats or ghosts or pandas and jellyfish… Who knows! I’m also keen on making a coyote ;)

Perhaps I will also be able to sell s0me of my things in a shop in downtown Salem, Mass soon, too. I’ve talked with some very charming people about this possibility, and I’m very excited about it!

Hey! Dotori arrived yesterday, and I’m really excited to start her on her transformation to Motya :))) There’s a few photos of her up in the photography gallery, and depending on when I get around to sanding her faceup off there may be a few more on their way… She’s just absolutely stunning! So more what I was getting to with this post…

1)I may review her..

2) I will be photographing the faceup process and probably a few other things (eyemech re-assembly for those of us who were ever unlucky enough to make the mistake of taking apart one unknowingly..) And making a few more ‘tutorials’. Things that I was considering would be along the lines of

♥ Wig/head removal and re-application
♥ Sanding off of faceup
♥ Eyechip removal and customization
♥ Faceup step by step/tips
♥ Hair washing
♥ General FAQ on Pullip dolls

Just some small, hopefully helpful, and Pullip specific tips and tutorials. :) If there is anything that anyone specifically wishes to see, then by all means feel free to request! I just remember that when I first got into Pullips there were a lot of questions that I had, and most of the time I’d have to look to BJD information sources to help me. With the exception of the Pullips LiveJournal and Requiem Art. Both of which were very helpful to me! I think that I may actually end up making a links page to helpful places at some point as well..

This isn’t something super amazing and special, but it’s just something I’ve learned and use frequently :))) As a small disclaimer, this is just what I personally do, so if you feel uncomfortable doing it then please don’t. However I will say that I have used it on all of my pullips and restored MLPs, as well as my long and short cosplay wigs with only good things to say! But please use your own discretion.

So the site seems to be bending a bit more to my whims and cooperating with my plans for it. Some content is begining to be added, although since I am hosting my images now on Flickr, which has limited monthly uploads, I will have to be cautious for a little bit on what I upload, since I’ve already reached about 9o% capacity for this month in two days. Granted it’s all in the setup, but I digress.

I’m really happy with the layout and theme, and while I hope to fiddle with the colours and ‘logo’/header in a while I am pleased with it for now. :) Everything about it really is so cathartic and nice. And having the ability to post any sorts of text that I want here with such ease is really refreshing as well!

While I was visiting everyone in Salem this week I got to spend time with both of my grandmothers, who both gave me lots of gabric and sewing supplies they no longer require! this delights me greatly 8))) Some of the fabrics are just so gorgeous I don’t know how I’ll be able to part with them! They’re also VERY old. They’ve laid around in attics and storage rooms for quite some time.. they’re so lovely though, and they really don’t make fabrics like them anymore! I’ll need to take some photos… Of course they’ve also got some sentimental value to me as well, but I can fill those feelings up by making a couple of things for myself from the fabrics :)♥

April is going to be really busy and exciting with the extra work hours and the Gogol Bordello concert. I may also be attending a Hollywood Undead concert with one of my friends, which should be pretty fun too 8). Overall I’m hoping to achieve a few things.

♥Populate this site with some tutorials I’ve got ideas for.
♥Sew more dolls.
♥Hopefully aquire Otakon AA table for Emma, Caitlin, and myself.
♥Draw more. (I haven’t drawn in… about a month, fff..)

Now I’m going to go watch TrueBlood and discuss how shipable Eric Northman is with…. absolutely everyone. 8)

The site has had a slew of errors lately and is under-going much change because of this.. though… hopefully I’ll be able to stabilize it soon :’( Please don’t pay too much mind to it in the mean time.

So today I’ve been sitting here, working on this new version of my website. By the way, the old one can be found just as it was by visiting kasha.me/old. Anyhow, been sitting here watching quite a few films. It started with Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer, this morning. I hadn’t actually seen it as a kid, but one of my friends from school was going to show me it once :I Obviously that never happened as this morning was the first time I’d seen it! After that I watched some George Carlin. That man. Is hilarious. He will always be hilarious.

Following the Carlin tapes I moved on to.. I think it was a film titled Outsourced it was actually enjoyable, I think, even though I expected it to not really be entertaining at all. You see I’ve been watching things today with a theme that I wouldn’t be putting anything too distracting on so I could work. In the end I paid attention throughout the film, and did not work as much as I had hoped.

After that I ventured into SLC Punk. Something that I had been meaning to watch for quite some time and finally got around to. Found it amusing and thought that some of the subculture references were funny.

After thatttt I was going to watch the second Care Bears film ‘cuz it was one of the films I watched damn near obsessively as a child, while I sat on my grandmother’s floor and played with all my My Little Pony toys. Love it. So much. Anyhow, that was until my friend Kitty said she’d watch it with me 8) so I write this post in anticipation of that. I love Dark Heart. Soooo much. Evil little ginger that he is. And somehow also he happens to be a clumsy pansy at the same time!

Until then I will get back to uploading here to my site, and after that I assume that I’ll mess around with the layout a bit more!
